Privacy policy wording for the WhoLayer tag
Sample notice text, a privacy-choices link, and consent-banner code to adapt for your site.
Our Terms require a privacy policy that tells visitors about the tag before it runs. Sample wording is on our customer notice templates page:
- Visitor ID (B2B) and Shopper ID (ecommerce) paragraphs for your privacy policy, with WhoLayer's opt-out link (wholayer.com/privacy-request).
- A "Your privacy choices" footer link, and a button that stops the tag in the visitor's browser (
wholayer("optout")). - Cookie banner code:
wholayer("consent", true)when a visitor accepts,wholayer("consent", false)when they decline. - A checklist for before you go live.
These are starting points, not legal advice, and using them doesn't by itself make your site compliant. Have your own lawyer adapt them.
